Greetings to the team at the Zakhidnadraservis group on receiving the RESILIENCE MARK award

The award was established by ESG Liga PAEW and the Office of Sustainable Solutions to recognize the resilience of Ukrainian businesses that ensure operational continuity and remain a reliable pillar of Ukraine’s economy.

«Among those honored are not just companies with successful projects. These are teams that, in their specific circumstances, have demonstrated one of the most challenging leadership qualities today—the ability to stay the course under pressure, adapt, make difficult decisions, and at the same time take responsibility for their consequences», — notes the Office of Sustainable Solutions.

The awards were presented during the ESG Leaders Assembly event titled «Responsibility That Has a Price».

Mariia Lopushanska, an environmental specialist at the Zakhidnadraservis group of companies, accepted the award on behalf of the team. Throughout the year, the ESG Liga professional community monitored companies’ practices, analyzed the projects and solutions they presented, as well as their significance, duration, results, and impact.

«ZAKHIDNADRASERVIS» is a model of responsible business and the implementation of ESG principles in Ukraine’s energy sector. This is part of our daily work. The company combines the development of traditional and renewable energy with environmental responsibility, social resilience, and sound corporate governance. A key area of the group’s activities is investment in renewable energy. A distinctive feature of the company’s approach is the integration of environmental requirements into the planning and implementation of energy projects, including environmental impact assessments, biodiversity studies, and consideration of nature conservation areas and environmental restrictions.

A practical example of ESG implementation is the application of international environmental and social management standards, specifically IFC Performance Standard 6 on biodiversity conservation. As part of wind energy projects, studies of critical natural habitats and seasonal monitoring of bird populations are conducted, and nature conservation measures are developed and implemented. At the same time, the company prioritizes occupational health and safety, production safety, engagement with local communities, and transparent environmental and social reporting to international financial institutions.

This approach demonstrates that, for the Zakhidnadraservis group of companies, ESG is not merely a formal declaration of sustainable development principles, but a practical system of risk management, responsible investment, and decision-making, in which Ukraine’s energy security is combined with environmental conservation and respect for the interests of society», — noted Mariia Lopushanska.

«You can’t win this award just for a strong communication campaign, correct ESG terminology, or a beautifully crafted story. We’re looking for teams whose stories are backed by real solutions, proven results, and a willingness to openly discuss not only their successes but also the challenges they faced along the way», — emphasized Lyudmyla Tsyganok, founder of ESG Liga.
